ABOUT
Iris Rozendaal is a Dutch artist living in The Hague, The Netherlands. She has studied Lifestyle & Design at the Art Academy of Rotterdam and has previously worked as an interior designer and photographer. Since 2018 she has been working with clay and established her atelier in 2020.

Iris integrates intangible elements like space and the flowing energy of the Female body into her creations, sculpting the clay with her hands. From the gentle curve of a vase into the intricate details of a sculpture, she finds beauty in the tactile process of creation “My fingers are my main tools, it’s my imprint that makes each object unique.” Her work combines sculptural forms with functional objects.
"the way the clay moves
cracks
merges
listens to my hands
it’s a matter of existence
me and the clay
one on one"
